A Campaign for Review of Worcester's City Charter
We are organizing a campaign for a review of the Charter of the City of Worcester. We held our first public forum on May 1, 2024 and will schedule additional events to discuss how we can create a better government of Worcester.
Worcester’s city charter, similar to a constitution for a city, was last reviewed in 1992 and last modified in 1985.
We believe that the city’s charter fails to provide adequate oversight of the executive, resources and power to the legislature, and representation to the city’s inhabitants.
